I led the UX/UI design work for the Booking.com integration, acting as primary designer and working directly with the Partnerships team to deliver an experience that met both internal standards and external partner expectations. The work balanced Booking.com's brand requirements with Holiday Extras' UX principles, while remaining accessible and technically feasible.
I took full ownership of managing ongoing changes and iterations, responding to evolving feedback while ensuring the designs remained consistent, user-centred and accessible throughout a long-running partner engagement.
Working directly with the Partnerships Lead, I ensured the designs accurately reflected Booking.com's brand needs and partnership goals — translating complex commercial requirements into usable, engaging experiences and communicating the reasoning behind each design decision.
I coordinated closely with engineers to ensure designs were technically feasible, adapting layouts and flows where necessary to accommodate platform limitations while maintaining clarity and visual integrity.
Accessibility remained a focus throughout. Calculated decisions around spacing, colour contrast, visual hierarchy and content structure ensured the final experience was inclusive and performant rather than retrofitted for compliance.
Outcome
A clean, accessible partner-facing UI that strengthened trust with a major external brand, delivered through sustained stakeholder alignment and engineering collaboration.
