By building a Google Workflows-powered pipeline integrated with imgix, image file sizes were reduced by 75–90% and video by 65% — improvements deployed company-wide in collaboration with the CEO.
Unoptimised assets were creating measurable page performance issues across Holiday Extras properties. Images were being uploaded at source resolution without consistent compression, format conversion, or responsive sizing.
imgix was selected as the transformation layer — enabling on-the-fly image resizing, format conversion to WebP/AVIF, and quality optimisation without changing existing asset workflows.
